THE NEST PROJECT
As part of the "Guardians" Show, I developed three handmade nests and a series of 25 handpainted original 6 x 6 acrylic works featuring nests. Nests are the "guardian" of the eggs. Nests guard the eggs gainst predators and adverse weather. To minimize predation, birds may use or build nests that are inaccessible, hidden, or camouflaged.
